ABOUT US
The Over Comers Church of God was formed out of the refugee and immigrant community, particularly those from East Africa in the great lake’s region. D R Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda. Those three countries have a high percentage of Christians.

Refugees and immigrants have come from hardship, persecution, civil war, famine, and trauma but they are resilient. They have survived the most atrocious events that took place in that region of Central Africa prior to their resettlement in the U.S. and during the last decade. They arrive with no belongings, don’t speak the language, don’t understand the culture, and they have lived with dislocation, terrible loss, and fear for years.
When they are placed in New Hampshire, they get help from local state resettlement agencies providing new arrivals with comprehensive assistance for six months. Those resettlement agencies focus on the physical need but never the spiritual side which is highly important for those who have a religious background. When arriving in the USA they attend American churches, but the language barrier and way of worship is different than what they are familiar with. Some of them decide to stay home and watch YouTube in their language, but this contributes to trauma and isolation.

The Over Comers Church of God was born to address those challenges that come with acclimation to this new and complex environment. It was born to keep sound doctrine in teaching the word of God, and to create a network within the community of believers to maintain a safe and healthy Christian lifestyle. We also facilitate conciliation and healing to build comfort with their new culture.
The church was established in 2010 in Concord, New Hampshire. The church is mainly comprised of refugees who have been resettled in New Hampshire. The Over Comers Church of God works closely with African refugees and agencies that help refugees and immigrant to meet the needs of the community and that of the newly resettled refugees. The Over Comers Church of God provides ongoing services after business hours and weekends.
OUR VISION
The Vision is to equip church members with scripture skill sets that allow them to grow, to outreach, and answer any spiritual and critical social questions brought to them, while expanding the Christian community.

Overcomers Mission is to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15).

STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired. It is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all scripture is true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world the true center of Christian union. It is the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony of Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
